Kadampa Meditation Centre Germany
KMC Germany is situated near Oranienburg, about 20 kilometres north of Berlin.
'Schloss Sommerswalde' is the home of the KMC which is a neoclassistic mansion built in the late 19th century and which resembles the Berlin 'Reichstag' or parliament building and is thus renown as 'the small Reichstag'. The property with its 18 acres of park and woods is an oasis to find peace and relax.
The main building houses the German Temple of Kadampa Buddhism, offers 20 rooms for residents as well as guest rooms. Everyone is welcome to visit us in this special environment.
We offer daily meditations and prayers, and many special courses and retreats. During our repair period we also offer working visits to volunteers.
